After a very successful last edition, the third edition of the Ronde van Frankrijk & Spanje in Brabant will take place on Sunday the 7th of August 2022. A tribute to Le Grand Départ of the Tour De France, which took place in ‘s-Hertogenbosch in 1996, and a great preview of the Tour of Spain (La Vuelta). The event offers recreational cyclists and cycling fans the opportunity to cycle a great tour in their own country. The characteristic aspect of the tour already lies in the name. One route has the shape of the contours of France (+/- 80 km) and the other route has the shape of the contours of Spain (+/- 120 km). All participants, both individual and in a team, challenge themselves to finish the one or both routes in one single day. Everyone has his or her own story and motivation, but together they go for one fantastic goal: using their healthy muscles to beat children’s muscle diseases and disorders.
At the The Line we wholeheartedly support the tour and – just like last edition – we are the proud main sponsor and supporter of both the event and the foundation behind the charity: ‘Spieren voor Spieren’. Hans Hagendoorn, CEO of The Line, shares that The Line is happy to contribute at a social level in supporting children who have a muscle disease or disorder. Hagendoorn: “We support ‘Spieren voor Spieren’ and wish both the organizing team of the Ronde van Frankrijk & Spanje in Brabant and all the participants the best and fun during the tour. Let’s all raise as much money as possible so that the foundation can make a difference for these children.”
Last year, we explored the route together with well-known Dutch cyclists from the Tour De France of ’96. The video below gives you a nice impression of that day.
